BubbleNet is an open source bulletin board meant for small communities (e.g., camps, schools, households, etc.), purposely made without the ability to create users.
People on the same WIFI network as the server can view and post items, including images, GIFs, and links. Important posts can also be pinned and unpinned by the admin.
BubbleNet came into existence through the idea of combining various aspects of 4chan and Twitter, simplifying the idea of social media down to its core components.
Eventually the idea was refined, its name was changed, and now we have today's BubbleNet, made entirely by one person.
